Design Styles:
From
our experience, there are several site layout styles
that work well for the Internet based on the screen size
settings of the user community.
For
97% of the Internet users, their screen size is set to one
of three standard size settings. Along with the percentage
of the user community, they are:
Percentage of Internet Users by Screen
Size |
800 x 600 |
1024 x 768 |
1152 x 864 |
Other |

Based
on 2006 survey results. |
We
can design your site to any specifications you require but
we usually fit our designs to the 1024 x 768 size AND
design the content area to fit within an 800 x 600 space.
This will
accomodate most users. There are several reasons why...
First,
the 1024 x 768 size allows most users to view a site in its
entirety without them having to scroll left and right in
addition to up and down.
Secondly,
when a user wants to print a page, this site size prints
the entire page without cutting off the right side on the
printout. Note: Depending on some users' printer settings,
a site may have a small portion of the right edge cut off.
Some
of our designs, incorporate a background style that makes
your site appear to stretch to fit the entire screen.
Here
are a few of our site styles and screenshots of how they
will apear within the various screen settings.
